First week of bass season was great. This is me with the biggest of the week, 3 LB 15 OZ, caught at Conger Island. (One ounce short of 4 LB, DOH!) We caught 187 bass for the week. Not too bad considering we had a couple slow days at the end of the week. Wednesday was out best day when we caught 41 bass. Four of those were over three pounds. Conger Shoals has some good milfoil and fishing was good there early in the week. Fished a little in 'The Cut' near fish creek. Had a couple decent one there. Pin Island didn't produce much. Fished some at Dwayne's Island and M.P.B but only caught a few. Lonseome bay and Conger area produced the best. Tried some new spots near Toti's Cottages and Sandy Cove. Had some success. Will target these area's more this year. We had four double headers for the week. (one was two Rock Bass. HA!) There is a decent milfoil weed line heading northeast of Prince Island. Had good luck there. There was a lot of rain during the week. Water level came up about 10 inches during our 8 day stay. More posts and pics coming soon. Fish On!
