4 lb 5 oz Friday the 13th Lunker

Fishing report August 7th & 8th
Rained a little overnight. Saturday morning 55 degrees 7am, fishied until 1:30. Caught 16 fish for the morning. 3 at Upper Deep Bay, 3 at Red Point Bay, 5 at Middle Point Bay, 3 at Crow Island, 2 near Dwaynes Island. Best was 2 lb 12 oz. Caught a good amount of Smallmouth, with a couple weighing 2 1/2 lbs. 3:15 pm to 8:15 pm: Caught 14 fish. Did well near Jennies and Lookout Island. Denise caught a lot of fish today, so she was happy. :) 30 total bass for the day was our best in quite awhile. Action was good today! Nice day, no rain.Sunday fished 7am until 12:15. Caught 7 fish. 3 in Lonesome Bay, 1 at Jennies and 3 in M.P. Bay. The morning started out cloudy with light winds. Had to put on my rain gear around 8am. It rained on and off for about and hour. I thought it would help the bite pick up but it didn't. Got pretty windy too. So, 37 bass for the weekend. I'll take it! That wraps up the weekend report. Until next week...

Fishing report July 31st - August 3rd
Well, we had another great mini vacation. Saturday the 31st started out foggy and cold 48 degrees! No wind thank god. Warmed up nicely and turned out to be a nice day. Fished Conger Island caught 4. Had 2 at Jennies and then 9 at R.P. Bay. In the evening we only caught 1 at M.P. Bay. 16 for the day but nothing over three pounds. Sunday August 1st started out cold at 50 degrees, but again warmed up and was a great day. Only caught 10 fish for the day. August 2nd 63 degrees in the morning, low 80's afternoon. We caught 18 fish, this was our best day of the trip. Decent in Lonesome Bay, Devils Graveyard is still slow for us. Upper Deep Bay was very good for smallies. Had good catches in the evening in our new honey hole. Denise had a 2 lb 9 oz and lost a real nice one. Tuesday the 3rd 70 degrees at 8am. It finally rained a little bit last night. Fished Lonesome Bay and caught 7 fish. 3 lbs 3 oz was the best of the trip. The bite seemed to pick up the past two days. Caught 51 total bass for the trip. Water level still dropping but still high for this time of year. Time to go back to work for a couple days, then return for the weekend. Stay tuned for the next report early next week.
